Dubai, Palm Jumeirah

The Palm Jumeirah is an artificially created archipelago land made by Nakheel Company and is owned by the government of Dubai. The design of this land was given by HHCP architects. There are three islands in the region with the name Palm Islands including Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira. This island extends to the Persian Gulf and is the smallest of the three.

Palm Jumeirah is created in the shape of a palm tree with a trunk, 16 fronds crown and surrounding crescent island forming a long breakwater. This island is self declared as the Eighth Wonder of the World. The coastline of Dubai is doubled by the existence of this island. Construction work of this island began back in the year 2001. This island features some of the most luxurious accommodations all around it for visitors as well as local people. There are many hotels already constructed and some are under construction.

Here you can enjoy travelling to other parts of the city through Palm Jumeirah Monorail opened in the year 2009. There are many colleges and educational institutes located close to the island. Also this area is surrounded by many restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs for entertainment of guests.
