Check off Dubais highlights on this full-day sightseeing tour. With a guide, ride the monorail to Atlantis The Palm to see The Ambassador Lagoon, a vast marine habitat that's home to exotic fish and reconstructed ruins of the 'lost city of Atlantis.' Then, tour the city and snap photos of the Burj Al-Arab hotel; visit Dubai Museum, Gold Souk and Spice Souk; ride an abra water taxi across Dubai Creek; and top it all with a 4-course lunch. In the afternoon, visit the At the Top observation deck at the Burj Khalifa and enjoy a grandstand view at the Dubai Fountain Show.
Meet your guide at your Dubai hotel, and travel by air-conditioned minivan or coach to The Palm, Jumeirah, a luxurious man-made archipelago. On arrival, ride the monorail to Atlantis The Palm hotel, and then head to the Ambassador Lagoon.
With your guide at your side, ogle the vast underwater space of the Ambassador Lagoon from a viewing platform, and see exotic fish and rays from around the Arabian gulf, and even a shark. Hear why the lagoon takes it theme from the mythical city of Atlantis, and then enjoy some free time to explore at your leisure.
Continue with a photo stop at the sail-shaped Burj Al-Arab hotel and then drive onward to Dubai Museum, housed in an old fort in the historical Bastakiya quarter. While accompanied by your guide, head inside and trace the story of Dubai from its early roots to the metropolis of today as you roam around the displays and artifacts.
Continue to a local restaurant for a 4-course lunch (see the Itinerary for a sample menu), served with bottled water. Additional drinks are available to purchase. Duly refreshed, board a traditional wooden boat, known as an abra, and cross Dubai Creek to the Deira quarter. When you step ashore, soak up the perfume and colors of the Spice Souk and then move on to the Gold Souk. Stroll through the traditional marketplace of dazzling gold and jewellery outlets with your guide and then strike out on your own to browse and haggle for bargains.
Next, travel downtown for your visit to Burj Khalifa, the worlds tallest building at 2,772 feet (828 meters) high. Ride the elevator up to its At the Top observation deck on the 124th floor and soak up 360-degree views over the city.
Finally, descend the tower and watch the early evening Fountain Show at Burj Khalifa Lake. Enjoy the musical choreography of the water jets and illuminations before you conclude your tour with a hotel drop-off. Alternatively, opt to stay on in the downtown area to enjoy its evening attractions independently.
