The city of Dubai is home to some of the most iconic buildings of the world. The Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab are the awesome ones to satisfy the tourists. The Burj Al Arab is actually a hotel and was the tallest building in Dubai before the Burj Khalifa came into existence. It is called the only 7 star hotels in the world. It is located on an artificial island which is about 280 meters away from the Jumeirah beach and is attached to the mainland with a private curved bridge. The shape of the building is like the sail of a boat. This architectural marvel is considered as a "must visit" option to the majority of tourists coming to Dubai. The 1053 foot high building features numerous luxurious suits, individual rooms and all the possible amenities one may want in a more than 5 starred hotel. The Burj Khalifa came into existence in 2009 and is now the tallest building in the world. The height has outnumbered the Burj Al Arab by several hundred feet. The Burj Khalifa is not an individual hotel but is the home to the most prestigious hotel called Armani Hotel. This is perhaps the costliest one not only in Dubai, but the whole world. The observatory situated at the height of 1823 foot is the most desirable thing for the tourists as one can have the aerial view of the whole city from this place. There are super fast elevators to take the visitors to the observatory and you are sure to have the feeling of being in the sky once you reach here. Another important iconic monument in Dubai is the Atlantis Palm. This is the man-made island, constructed with the greatest architectural techniques ever known. The island is shaped like a palm tree and hosts a magnificent hotel. People visiting Dubai travels to this island in boats or abras. The only monorail track joins the island to the mainland. The Dubai Museum is also counted as the iconic monument of the city as it is the most ancient building in Dubai.
